 My choice of hotel for my tours is the Riverside Hotel. Why ?? Its opposite the famous Li River with decks to sit on to view the fantastic scenery. It's barely a five minute walk to West St where you can go shopping or find a coffee bar, night club or just wander to enjoy the atmosphere. Outside the hotel is the very best coffee shop & restaurant but the hotel also has its own restaurant where you can relax as you watch the locals going about their business. Early morning walks can be taken alongside the river but its also a great place to start a walk around the town. This can take an hour without stops so great for those who want to keep their exercise up. At no time will you feel uncomfortable or at risk. The locals are used to having visitors in their environment so there are no stares no matter what you do.

  For a small town Yangshuo has a huge variety of accommodation available. From 5 star resorts to backpacker hostels everyone is catered for. Only the 4-5 star hotels and resorts have restaurants attached to them but no accommodation is too far from any type of eating place. As Yangshuo is a big tourist place that is valued by the Government all accommodation is of a good standard for its price.

Yangshuo is a very old town so all the newest hotels are on the edge of the town. All resorts are out in the country-side each with something different to offer. Some are owned by non-Chinese. These photos are of one of the countryside resorts in Yangshuo where my Grandson lived and worked for a while.
